Indiana State University

Indiana State University (ISU) is proud to announce that an unlimited number of Academic Incentive Scholarships for first-year and transfer undergraduate students are being offered starting in Fall of 2006.

ISU would also like to invite you, as a partner in educational exchange, to participate in the selection of students eligible for these awards. By filling out and sending the attached recommendation form for each student that you would feel meets the criteria for eligibility, you will be able to play an important role in the awarding of these scholarships.

All incoming first year undergraduate students with a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 who submit a TOEFL score that meets the admissions requirements for ISU's undergraduate programs or who graduate from Interlink Language Center are eligible for this scholarship. Freshman can receive up to $4000 per year (fall and spring semesters only); the scholarships are renewable for up to seven semesters.

Transfer students who have a minimum of 30 transferable college semester hours and have a minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 are eligible for the transfer scholarships. Transfer students can receive up to $3000 per year (fall and spring semesters only); these scholarships are renewable for one additional year (two semesters).

Please help your students take advantage of the unlimited number of scholarships we have available by sending in your recommendations as soon as possible. After completing the attached form, please email it as an attachment to incentive@indstate.edu or mail to International Affairs Center, Indiana State University, Erickson Hall 611, Terre Haute, IN 47809 or fax it to 812—237—3602. The forms and any questions you might have about the Academic Incentive Scholarships can also be emailed to: incentive@indstate.edu.

Butler University

There's still time to apply for the August 2006 semester at Butler and receive our International Student Scholarship Award. EVERY admitted undergraduate freshman international student will receive a minimum $7,000 scholarship. Moreover, the maximum scholarship award has been raised to $14,000. The increases in awards over the minimum award are tied primarily to a student's academic record in secondary school. While the SAT is not required for admission and scholarship consideration, we do encourage students to complete the SAT. Scholarships are renewable for the length of the student's program, usually 4 years. International students are still eligible for athletic or talent-based performing arts scholarships, but cannot receive both athletic/talent awards AND the international student award. However, students who receive international student awards and enroll in our engineering program may still be eligible for an additional $3,000 tuition remission.

Whether you are familiar with Butler or if you are hearing about us for the first time, please take some time to look over our web site at http://www.butler.edu/admissions/international. We encourage your students to use our online application available at http://www.butler.edu/admissions/adm_applyonline.asp, but we do also accept the common application. And, we offer Butler University credit for completion of International Baccalaureate courses and British A—Levels.

We have over 60 major fields of study and outstanding programs in Business, Liberal Arts and Sciences (including a dual-degree engineering program), Education, Pharmacy and Fine Arts. Our university boasts a 97% placement rate into graduate school or the workplace for its graduates, and internships are a required part of many of our programs. We currently enroll a little over 4,000 students, and we have 155 international students from 61 different countries. We have a wonderful International Student Services office which helps students to make the transition to Butler smoothly.

Our admission requirements can be found at http://www.butler.edu/admissions/international/admission/app_requirements.asp?main=0.

Please take some time to look over our website and the requirements for application to Butler University. We would be happy to provide you with any additional information that may be needed. If you wish to receive printed materials from Butler University in the future, such as an application or brochure about international student admissions, please contact us at our email address, intadmission@butler.edu.
