Russian students, having at least a bachelor degree (4 years studies), can apply for scholarships and be enrolled in master courses set up by European Universities.
The first call for proposals for scholarships for students coming for third countries (i.e. Russia) was in April 2004 for the academic year 2004-2005.
The deadline for the second call for proposals for students, including Russian ones, is 31 March 2005 for the academic year 2005-2006.
Russian students, having a bachelor degree, shall consult the website target="blank europa.eu.int/comm/education/programmes/mundus/indexen.html. Towards the end of the year 2004 or beginning 2005, on this website there will a list of European Masters courses available for the academic year 2005-2006. This is because the deadline for European Universities to propose master courses is 31 October 2004.
In the meantime Russian student will find at the end of September 2004, on the same website target="blank europa.eu.int/comm/education/programmes/mundus/indexen.html, the list of European master courses selected for the academic year 2004-2005, so they can get an idea of the type of master degrees, entry conditions (subject areas, knowledge of languages, type of documents, etc.).
It is important that the Russian university supports the student/applicant concerned as there will be a need to have sort of contact between the European Commission and the University concerned (again model of contact available on the web at target="_blank europa.eu.int/comm/education/programmes/mundus/call/contract12.pdf).
To make it short, interested universities, scholars and students shall consult the website, which is very well done and has all documents, including the FAQ section. Otherwise, they can contact Brussels at EAC-Erasmus-Mundus@cec.eu.int. However, Brussels will not answer questions which are already answered in the FAQ section.
