CALL FOR PAPERS: RESEARCH COMMITTEE # 12 PANELS FOR THE
INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION CONGRESS, 2006, FUKUOKA,
JAPAN

Research Committee # 12 (Biology and Politics) is organizing up to
four panels for the 2006 International Political Science Association
(IPSA) meeting, to be held in Fukuoka, Japan, July 9-14, 2006. We
invite proposals for papers as well as offers to serve as panel
discussants and chairs.

As you perhaps know, the overall theme of the 2006 IPSA meeting
is «Is Democracy Working?» We especially welcome proposals on the
theme of «Biology, Democracy, and Nation-Building,» in line with the
overall Congress theme. However, we also welcome other paper
proposals, on subjects such as biology and public policy or
biobehavioral approaches to the study of politics.

We project the structure of the Research Committee # 12 program as
follows:

Panel # 1: Biology, Democracy, and Nation-Building: Panel 1

Panel # 2: Biology, Democracy, and Nation-Building: Panel 2

Panel # 3: Biobehavioral Approaches to the Study of Politics

Panel # 4: Biology and Public Policy
